I just got back home after fishing the better part of 2 weeks up in the Alpena area. The walleye fishing up there has been awesome this year. All of the fish are in the 3-4 lb range and we were catching 4-8 per half day trip. This is down from the catch rate from a few weeks ago up there, but it is still good fishing. The Michigan Brown Trout Festival makes for a great fishing atmosphere with daily tournament action, live music, and non-stop activities. Alpena is truely a fishing town!!!!!!
I will be doing walleye charters on Hubbard Lake, Thunder Bay, and out of Rockport throughout the month of August. Give me a call if you are interested in booking a trip.
Now back home to start preparing for the MWC after my charter tomorrow out of AuGres.
